Raise in Taxi Fare
=======================================

Was talking to colleagues on the increment of Taxi fare wef* 17 December 2007.
My colleague actually list down the changes to me.
(Since I never really lookout for the updates like these)

1. To incentivise more cabbies to ply the Central Business District during peak hours, the city area surcharge, which is now $1, will be raised to $3 between 5pm and midnight from Mondays to Saturdays.The late night surcharge between 12am and 5:59am daily will be revised back to 50 per cent of the metered fare – instead of the staggered 10 to 50 per cent surcharges now in effect.
2. Instead of the standard $2 peak period surcharge now in effect between 7am and 9.30am on weekdays and 5pm to 8pm from Mondays to Saturdays, passengers will have to pay an added 35 per cent of their metered fare during those hours.
3. The flag down fare will be raised by 30 cents from $2.50 to $2.80 for the first kilometer.
4. The distance rate and waiting time will also be adjusted to ‘more accurately reflect the cost of travel’, it added. So instead of upping fares by 10 cents for each set distance or waiting time, this will soon go up by 20 cents each time. – Specifically, every 385 metres for the second to 10th kilometres, and every 330 metres above 10 kilometres.
5. The waiting time will also be raised from the current 10 cents for every 25 seconds to 20 cents for every 45 seconds.
6. The only thing that didn’t increase? Call booking fees
7. Call booking fees will be cut from $4 to $3.50 during prime time hours, which are 7am to 9.30am and 5pm to 11pm on weekdays. It stays at $2.50 for all other times.

Ok, why am i cursing?? Cause the service sucks!!

I went to Hello! to transfer my brother’s account to my name.
They said it takes 3 working days to do it. Fine!
So I waited (PS: That lady knew i wanted to transfer to CANCEL the services)

I called today (to 3 different number for EACH freaking SERVICE!)
Call 1: To Mobile -
The lady nicely told me that it took 3 days for the cancellation to work.
Well, what can I do? I said ok.
(But wasn’t very happy, cause last Saturday the service lady didn’t WARN me)
Call 2: To Residential Line -
The lady told me the same thing.
I’m fine up till this point.. The next call i made?
Makes me wanna burn down the whole fucking Singtel.
Trust me, the service sucks.
Call 3: To Singnet Broadband -
The lady NOT in a good tone,
told me that this account is an UNDERAGE account~
Woohoo~ How cute~~
When previously when I call to residential line,
they even told me that i need to cancel the damn fucking broadband.
Which of course, I know, but that call number 2 lady didn’t tell me,
that being under fucking 21 can’t cancel/terminate the fucking broadband!

The fucking call number 3 operator was like,
“This is a underage account”
So i want like “ok…?”
No reply…. So i asked “So.. means…. I can’t terminate?”
Her reply? “No” And she sound like the fucking customer while I’m the operator!!!
DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! EgjwiEKLGNWRLKGB;ARKGHGNWEKNG;LIEqw/NKG!!!!!!
Then I told her, so what can i do?
Then she sound pissed off saying “You need your guardian or parent to cancel for you”

I mean, HELLO!!!! (YES SINGTEL!) 1) I’m underage I can do no shit. 2)That fucking operator was talking to me like I SHOULD know everything!! If I knew!! I won’t call on my own. Am i right?? PERLEESE!!! You mother fucking fucked up piece of meat. I was ok with the first 2 operators. They were fine and nice and even wish me a good day. And this FUCKING LAST OPERATOR DECIDED TO JUST PISS ME OFF!! FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!

Then I was like, “Yeah, my PARENT told me to call in and cancel”
Yes I made it sound like a brat, a pissed off brat.
Then she didn’t say a single shit! Like hanging the phone dead!

Oh. At the start of the conversation.
You know they will like take your ID or name to check for the account?
She didn’t even say “Please hold” and just went DEAD SILENT while checking the data.
Eventually, I’ll say “Hello?” Right? She was like “Wait” … I’m like. WTF?

DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! I should really get her name back there!!

I just called my mother to call in to cancel the fucking broadband.
I think I need to suggest to the fucking singtel that they SHOULD have all 4 languages for ALL the service numbers.
Cause if you want an UNDERAGE to get their parents to CANCEL their service.
Make sure that you are FUCKING prepared with operators and the pre-recorded options IN MANDARIN!!!!!

GAH!! I’m typing SO damn fucking hard, that my knuckle just cracked.
I feel like punching that bitch right now.. GGRRrrrrr… ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
