A compromise is the art of dividing a cake in such a way that everyone believes he has the biggest piece. – Ludwig Erhard (1897 – 1977)

Some times, we feels stupid to see ourselves stuck in a situation and we are in utter disgust and disbelieve of all the unfairness treatment we were given. But as we measure the need and want in our lives, we have no other choice but to settle down with what is given for now.

Many times, we always settle down for much lesser than what we are worth. At least that is what the education system and companies wants us to think. But when we sit down and start valuating ourselves, we noticed, that we are being treated like some lowlifes on a farm.

But truth to be told, we are. As long as we are trapped in this rat race, none of us are treated with much respect.

People who are able to stay happy in this rat race, are people who resign to their fate. But how many of us are willing. We are taught of self-respect, humbleness, competitiveness and confidence.

But what we are given in the real society doesn’t really fit the bill.

We are not given much respect, we are being treated like dirt, or cows in farm for a better lifestyle(like the management levels).
We are being make used of, mocked of our humbleness.
People compete to destroy other people’s chance of surviving and living.
Lastly, when you have confidence, people say that you are arrogant and selfish.

I was reading the e-tnp during work. One article mentioned about unhappy scholarship holders. They felt that they have been mistreated by the companies that gives them the bonds. There’s another article that said scholarship holders are being treated like “foreign brides”.

But why do they only talk about scholarship holders? What about normal graduates and other education levels? Right now in this economy, a lot of people who are fresh graduates are being mistreated in the company.

What is the backup they have? “The crisis in this economy, fear of not getting employed”

Too many companies are using this excuse to hired cheap fresh grads and make them work like cows. It’s not that we do not have enough human resource to go around. It because of all those shareholders/CEOs/high managements wanted a bigger share in their pie, which they decided, to use this reason to cut down on the expenses of hiring and keep more in their pocket.

Many companies are still earning big bucks out there, but the rate of hiring? They lowered the cost for all of them. Cheaper price for more experienced workers. “willing to hire fresh graduates”-with the hidden condition of not being able to complain when given more job scope.

In life, there isn’t much that we can brag about. But I believe, that as long as we stick together and work for a brighter future. Things can look good. But, how many are willing to try? How many are willing to step out of their comfort zone and do something to change their lives? :) At least I want to, and I’m doing whatever I can.
